Help for Members Impacted by tornadoes in Tennessee

Getting care when you need it is even more important when there's a crisis. We're here to help members affected by the storms. If you live in Davidson, Putnam or Wilson county and have questions or need emergency prescription refills, we can help. We're also giving you more time to pay premium bills if you need it.

If you need health care right away
  • If your doctor’s office or health care facility is closed because of the tornadoes, or if you can’t get there because of the tornadoes, call us at the number on your ID card so we can help you find another doctor.
If you need prescription refills
  • If your Anthem plan covers your prescription medications, you can get up to a 20-day emergency refill at any pharmacy now, even if it’s not in your plan.

  • If you use Anthem’s mail-order pharmacy and your address has changed because of the tornadoes, call us at the number on your ID card so we can make sure your medicine gets to the right place.
Extra time to pay your bill
  • If you can't pay your premium bill because of the storm, you have up to 60 days to make your payment. There won't be any late fees. Call the number on your ID card if you need an extension.
These relaxed guidelines are in effect from March 3, 2020 through and including May 2, 2020 for impacted members in Davidson, Putnam or Wilson counties in Tennessee.
The relaxed guidelines are for members with Anthem group health plans through their employers or Anthem individual and family plans. They aren't for Federal Employee Health Benefit Plan, Medi-Cal, Medicare Advantage or Medicare Part D plans. They have their own guidelines.
