The health crisis we face today is unlike anything we have experienced before. Anthem is invested in helping our communities heal, and in providing relief and resources where they are most needed. In recognition of Mental Health Month and the importance of emotional well-being during the pandemic, Anthem is working to raise mental health awareness, share educational tools and offer community assistance.
National Alliance on Mental Illness
To help meet the growing demand for counseling and social services, Anthem is partnering with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)
, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization, for its “You Are Not Alone” campaign.
Focused on the power of connecting at a time of physical distancing, this joint effort will provide valuable mental health education, stress management tips and other tools to those in need. Anthem is assisting with fundraising and encouraging associates to take part in NAMIWalks and self-care.
Anthem Foundation grant
The Anthem Foundation
continues to fund mental health programs for communities across the country. One recent grant went to Mental Health America (MHA)
, the nation’s largest independently held behavioral health organization.
The grant benefits MHA’s Screening to Supports (S2S) program. This online platform offers free, anonymous mental health screenings, results analysis and customized treatment recommendations to nearly 1 million people each year. In response to COVID-19, MHA has created a resource hub that expands access to its screening tool
